Yannick
When a piece of metal becomes an emotion
The studio where the artist Yannick works and lives is located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in western France. It is in the face of this immensity that he creates temporally from an early age. He will then study boiler making and become a technician. It was only during the year 2016 that he spontaneously turned to sculpture.

Passionate about matter, mainly steel and influenced by philosophy, with his in-depth knowledge of certain techniques, he allows himself to subject this sterile matter to a kind of metamorphosis, to transform it into a fruitful sensation. Thinker and curious about phenomena, he often associates emotion with reflection. He creates as and when his thoughts are inspired by the effervescence of beings as well as the absence of movement.
Yannick is a contemporary metal sculptor who brings a strong intensity to realism or surrealism, he plays with metal and colours to give them another dimension. Simply graceful or unimaginable, the works of this fervent autodidact are often surprising.
